This manual contains an extensive compilation of freight loss and damage claim prevention procedures and products for all modes of transportation - truck, rail, ocean and air.

Separate sections are oriented toward shippers, carriers and receivers covering loading and bracing, testing, procedure manuals, inspections, training, etc.  Prevention of damage through packaging and cushioning, and prevention of theft and pilferage through locks, seals and surveillance techniques are covered.

Appendices contain information on loss prevention products and services, forms, training manuals, intermodal loading, blocking and bracing circulars and other useful material.  A handy 3-ring binder permits supplements to be added.
